Art Show Evaluation:

We discussed layout of the room and the possibility for having food stations.
Have photographers have their own show, include with this giclees and digital photograph.
We are fortunate that LTCC lets us use the room free, bring our own food and wine with no rental fee.
Reminder all work must be framed to be included in show.
Would like to have a central desk for sales with list of buyers of each painting.
Also more advertising of 15% to Lake Toxaway Charities.

Questions

Should we have refreshments at the meetings? No
A social event just for artists?
Sue Fazio suggested we have artists bring a painting to be critiqued at each meeting.
Any interest in Plein Air outings to Dupont forest or other similar off campus sites? People would like the first Thurs. of the month to be a paint out.

Laura Fountain has talked with Chris regarding a show on July 12th for artists that have a large body of work.

PR chairman needs to notify the Lake Toxaway Community Association about posting our programs on their calendar and to invite all who are interested, including those that are not necessarily artists.

Next meeting is May 20, 2010.
A demonstration by, Virginia Pendergast in oils. “Doing Landscapes Painterly”

Have a wonderful winter and happy painting.
